Mental Health First Aid Sometimes first aid isn’t a bandage - it’s YOU! You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional or mental crisis than someone having a heart attack. Learn how to help with training in Mental Health First Aid in collaboration with the Pennington 1st Aid Squad. Dates: July 9 & 11, 2019 or August 5 & 7, 2019 Time: 8:00AM - 12:00PM Must attend both classes.

American Red Cross Babysitting

To provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. Hopewell Valley YMCA offers the Darkness to Light Stewards of Children training to protect children. The only nationally available program scientifically proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and change child-protective behaviors, this training teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

AARP Driver Safety Course

Driver Safety Program , Ages 50+ The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation’s first and largest classroom refresher course designed especially for drivers 50 and older. Participants learn defensive techniques, new traffic laws, and rules of the road. Through interacting with one another, they find out how to safely adjust their driving to compensate for age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time. Graduates receive a certificate of completion that entitles them to a reduction in their auto insurance premiums in NJ. Participants must attend both days to complete course. Hopewell Valley Tom Jackson Golf and Tennis Tournament

Back for its third year and now including tennis, the Hopewell Valley YMCA Tom Jackson Champion Golf and Tennis Tournament will be returning to the Hopewell Valley Golf and Country Club this fall. Thanks to the support of community members, this tournament has raised $34,200 for Hopewell Valley YMCA Youth Sports programming. The Tom Jackson Golf Tournament is held in memory of  Thomas R. From June 8-10, 2018 Special Olympics New Jersey athletes will compete in bocce, gymnastics, tennis, softball, swimming, powerlifting, and track and field. Come and cheer our athletes on during this 3-day competition event held at The College of New Jersey.
