The Youth Activity Center
Hopewell Valley YMCA’s Free Teen/Tween Center for Grades 6-12
(Currently postponed for the season)
Designed by teens, for teens, the Youth Activity Center is a safe place for teens to gather, be with their friends, feel welcome and included. It is located on the first floor of the YMCA’s administrative offices at 62 S. Main Street in Pennington Borough and is in walking distance from Timberlane and Hopewell Valley Central High School. It is professionally staffed and a place where teens can feel welcome. We can provide assistance for special needs students, if needed. The YAC is open to all Hopewell Valley teens in grades 6-12. It is open from 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM. Monday through Friday. Pre-registration is required for your child to attend the center. Please register using our parent portal by clicking the link above. Registration allows us to gather contact information, allergy concerns and busing information.
There are several ways to arrive at the Youth Activity Center. When you register with us online, if your child needs busing from their school, please complete the option “Need busing to YAC” on the registration form. The Hopewell Valley Regional School District (HVRSD) is providing busing for registered students from their school to the Youth Activity Center. For those students whose home zone qualifies them for busing (per notification from the township), busing will be provided by HVRSD at no charge. Students who do not qualify for district busing can purchase transportation from HVRSD to the Youth Activity Center for $150 per year. Your child can also walk to the center, carpool with friends or ride their bike.
